Food Security Challenges in COVID-19

More than any other infectious disease, COVID-19 had an impact on the socioeconomic and food security of the entire world. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which forced food companies to cut or slow down their production, the number of people employed in the food sectors was regulated in several countries. The food supply chain has been badly affected by airline cancellations, regional and international restrictions, and lockdowns. These have exposed more people to the food crisis and severe hunger around the world, along with fundamental flaws in the global food system such production, distribution, access, and chain stability
